Roads Being Pre-Treated for Possible Snow

Governor Kay Ivey has declared a state of emergency for Alabama in anticipation of snow tomorrow morning. The Governor is warning motorists to avoid travel in North Alabama if possible. The Alabama Department of Transportation has begun pre-treating roads to prepare for snowfall and possible icy road conditions tonight.

It’s important that you are prepared and informed in case the snow melts and freezes, leaving ice patches following Tuesday morning. Calhoun and Talladega counties have been placed under a Winter Storm Warning beginning at midnight through Tuesday morning.
