Winter Driving Tips

If you are planning to get on the roadways tomorrow morning here are some winter driving preparation tips you should be informed about. Try to give ALDOT time to condition the roads. When warming up your vehicle, avoid doing so in an enclosed area such as your garage. Clear all the ice from your vehicle.

Check your tire pressure and tire tread. Do not use cruise control while driving. It is also extremely important to leave six to eight seconds of following distance between you and the car in front. Although the snow isn’t expected to stick around for long, black ice might still be on the roads.

Last but certainly not least, always wear your seatbelt. For more information and to determine if your car is ready for winter driving, visit www.aaa.com/travel.
