Saturday, February 2, 2019

Although the government shutdown is being blamed for several issues regarding the economy, the US Labor Department says the economy has added more than 300,000 jobs in January. Last month marked the 100th straight month of job gains in the US.

However, the unemployment rate slightly moved up to 4%. Analysts still believe that last month’s job rise is surprisingly strong. The partial government shutdown played a major role in the unemployment increase.
