Salvation Army of Anniston Announces Closure of Shelter

The Salvation Army of Anniston has announced the closure of its shelter. According to Lieutenant Damon Graham, the facilities used for shelter services has become impossible to repair and maintain at the standards needed to safely shelter others.

Lieutenant Graham says the Salvation Army will still continue several programs and services to the City of Anniston including food pantry services, case management, disaster services, and other emergency services for the elderly and disabled.

The Family thrift store will also be reopening to provide items to the community at affordable prices and to help generate funds in order to maintain Salvation Army Services here in Anniston.
