Apple Releases Software to Fix Eavesdropping Bug

Saturday, February 9, 2019

On the positive side, Apple has finally released a fix to its group FaceTime chat that allowed people to eavesdrop on un-answered video calls. The software update is for all iPhones, iPads, and mac computers.

Less than two weeks ago, Apple discovered a glitch exploiting live audio from another person’s phone. In some cases, it would also show live video, even if the person didn’t accept the FaceTime. Apple has issued a public apology while also thanking customers for their patience as they worked to fix the security glitch.
