Anniston Man Faces 12 Counts of Breaking and Entering a Vehicle


The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office reports that an Anniston man has been charged for a dozen car break-ins. 19-year-old Demetrius Brand is being charged with 12 counts of Unlawfully Breaking into Vehicles.

Deputies believe that Brand was involved in a string of break-ins beginning in December of last year. Unlawfully breaking and entering a car is a Class C felony.

If convicted, Brand could serve a maximum of 12 years in prison for each count. He is being held in the Calhoun County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
