Curfew Placed in Cedar Bluff Due to Floods


The town of Cedar Bluff imposed curfew in effect from 9pm until 6am daily until the state of emergency expires according to Cedar Bluff Mayor, Tammy Crane. The curfew was set in an effort to deter drivers from driving into unexpected hazards cause by the flooding in addition to looting. Any and all activity in or near campground areas will be investigated.

Law enforcement officers and personnel ask that residents near these areas not be offended if you are questioned about your activities or asked for identification. Nonresidents of campgrounds are asked to stay out of the area. Anyone violation can result in a fine of up to $500, and-or a county jail sentence.
