Gaylesville Woman Arrested on 17 Counts of Animal Cruelty

A woman living in Gaylesville has been charged with 17 counts of Animal Cruelty. According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, 59-year-old Dana Head left more than a dozen animals in cages outside in the flood waters.

Ducks, Rabbits and Cats were some of the animals deputies rescued from the cages over the weekend. Head was released from the Cherokee County Detention Center on an $8,500 bond.
