Damage Assessment of Cherokee County Will Come Once Flood Waters Clear

Wednesday, February 27, 2019

According to WEIS Radio, Cherokee County Commissioners were given an update on the current state of flooding across the county by EMA Director Shawn Rogers and county Engineer, Corey Chambers.

A true damage assessment will be completed once flood waters have fully receded. Several County Roads are still underwater and it will be several more days before a damage assessment on these roads can be completed according to Chambers.

County Commissioners will hold another meeting on March 11th.
