Remembering the '93 World Trade Center Bombing

Wednesday, February 27, 2019

On this day 26 years ago, a truck bomb was detonated in the basement parking garage of the World Trade Center’s North Tower, killing six people and injuring more than 1,000 people. Supposedly, the intention was to collapse the North Tower, which would then fall onto the South, destroying both.

Four of the men responsible were convicted in March the following year, with an additional two convicted in 1997. Unfortunately this would not be the last terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
