Lee County Tornado is Deadliest in Nearly Six Years


It’s been a long two days since the devastating tornado touched down in Lee County. The death toll remains 23, four of those being children, aging from six to 10 years old. Dozens of people were injured and ten remain hospitalized.

This goes on record as the deadliest tornado outbreak in nearly six years. The National Weather Service in Birmingham reports that the tornado’s track went well into Georgia, and could be 70 miles longs.
