Oxford police investigated a threat found written on a bathroom wall at Oxford Middle School. According to Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge, school officials contacted the police department about the incident.
When investigators interviewed the child suspected of writing the threat and their parents, it was discovered that the child was seeking attention. Chief Partridge said at that time, the school handled the situation.
Partridge added that officers treat these threats very seriously while working every day to keep schools safe for students and faculty.
