Anniston Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for 2013 Murder

An Anniston man has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to 2013 murder. Walter Pinkson was recently sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for his involvement in the fatal stabbing of an 89-year-old Wellborn woman in 2013.

 

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Pinkson remains inside the county jail where he will soon be transferred to a state prison. 35-year-old Monica Shiverly, also of Anniston is awaiting trial for her involvement in the murder.

 

Shiverly is also charged with two counts of Capital Murder during a robbery. She is currently being held in the Calhoun County Jail.
