Gadsden City Board of Education Candidates Participate in Forum

Changes will soon be coming to the Gadsden City’s Board of Education as candidates for the first elected school board participated in a forum. As residents prepare to head to the voting polls in April, a forum held by Etowah County Voter’s League, gave people the opportunity to hear from several candidates.

Many got to hear what kind of educational background some of the candidates had in addition to community involvement and their views on curriculums. Here are the full list of candidates for the 2019 candidates after a few dropped out of the race during this month and in February. Z.-Andre’ Huff will remain a board member for district three as he did not have a challenger for this year’s election.

Election Day for the Gadsden City Board of Education will take place on April 6th, beginning at 7am until 7pm. Runoff Elections will follow on May 21st if necessary. To find a polling location near you, visit
