Greenhouse Project at Etowah High School

Students in the Agricultural Department at Etowah High School have hundreds of plants inside their greenhouse that are now ready to be planted. The Greenhouse is completely operated by students.

They are responsible for planting, managing, and now, selling them to customers. Having the Agricultural Department at Etowah High teaches the students not only about how to care for plants, but also for their families and responsibilities for years to come. Ray says the students have been working seven days a week for months making sure the plants are well taken care of, and their hard work and dedication is showing through the plants. More than 3,000 plants are up for sale at the greenhouse. The students will not sell any plants next week due to spring break but Ray hopes that the community will come out and buy plants to take to their forever home during the month of April. The Greenhouse will officially end the plant sale after all the plants have been sold or after Mother’s Day.
