Two People Being Held on Multiple Charges Including Drug Trafficking


A routine traffic stop in Ohatchee that nearly turned violent resulted in two people being arrested on several charges, including felony drug trafficking. Harold George of Equality and DeAnna Murray of Anniston, are both being held inside the Calhoun County Jail after a deputy found Methamphetamine in their possession.

According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, when a deputy pulled over their car, George immediately took off on foot, dropping ammunition, a gun, and meth. After a brief pursuit, the deputy used a stun gun to subdue him until help arrived.

Murray and George are both charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine. George has additional charges that include Resisting Arrest, Altering an ID on a firearm, and Violating Probation, which results in no bond. Murray’s bond is set at $300,000.
