Verizon Releases Tool to Block Robocallers

Verizon Wireless customers now have a tool that helps filter out robocallers. This free service will display a “Scam Alert” message on smartphone screens to notify customers that the call may be from a fraudulent source. The service will also block some calls, stopping it from connecting to your phone at all.

According to Verizon Officials, more than 300 million spam and robocalls have been collected so far. Landline phones will also have this protection service through caller ID. So far, this feature has flagged nearly one billion scam and robocalls since is launching.
