Jacksonville Day

Tuesday, April 2, 2019

April is finally here and that means temperatures will begin to drastically change soon. The City of Jacksonville wants to take advantage of this change by cleaning up the community. Jacksonville Day is sponsored by the Calhoun County Landfill, County Commissioners, JSU, and RMC Anniston. On April 27th, starting at 8am, community members are encouraged to help pick up litter on the main streets and within your neighborhoods.

Items picked up can be dropped off free of charge at the Jacksonville-Piedmont Landfill beginning at 7:30am. Recyclable items like cardboard, and plastic in addition to documents needing to be shredded can be taken to City Hall between 8am and noon. For more information on this event, visit the City of Jacksonville’s Facebook page.
