Talladega Woman Charged with Animal Cruelty

A Saint Clair County woman is facing Animal Cruelty charges after more than 50 dogs were rescued from her home. Deputies discovered five deceased dogs inside Paulette Perry’s home in the Cropwell Community during a welfare check. According to the Saint Clair County Sheriff’s Office, 51 dogs were removed from her home and taken to a local animal shelter.

 

She is currently being at the Talladega County Jail for unrelated charges and will be additionally charged with Cruelty to Dogs which is a class C felony that carries a bond of $2,500.
