Beef Patty Recall After Concerns of Plastic Contamination
A subsidiary of Tyson, Advance-Pierre Foods, is recalling more than 10 tons of ready-to-eat beef patties over plastic concerns. According to the US Department of Agriculture, several customers have complained about finding purple plastic inside the meat.
Although these patties were produced in November of last year and shipped to schools across the Country, the USDA says it did not provide the patties as part of the National School Lunch Program. There have been no known injuries are illnesses.
If anyone has purchased these patties, you are encouraged to throw them away or return them to the store of purchase.
