City of Gadsden Elects New School Board

All votes are in for the City of Gadsden first elected School Board Members. Adrienne Reed received more than 64% of votes in District 1 to defeat three opponents. Nathan Carter was elected to represent District 2 with more than 70% of votes over two candidates. District 4 will be represented by Mike Haney who received 348 votes to Pugh’s 189.

 

Mark Dayton defeated District 5’s candidates by more than 65%. In District 6, Nancy Stewart will be the board’s representative with 67% of votes. And Millican claims District 7 after receiving 247 votes to Glenda Hicks’ 234. Although the city reports that no run-off election is needed, the City Council will canvas the votes and declare the official election results on April 16th.
