Oxford Baseball Prepares for the First Round

The high school baseball playoffs get underway on Friday and top 32 teams from around the state (and across East Alabama) are getting ready for a playoff push. The Oxford Yellow Jackets are poised for a deep run in the Class 6A bracket. TV24 Sports caught up with the team on Wednesday as they put in final preparations for Hartselle in the first round. The Jackets finished the regular season with a 21-10 mark and captured both the Calhoun County championship as well as the Area 13 title. Hartselle is 15-16 on the season and the Area 14 runner-up. Despite their record, the Tigers have a strong tradition and the Oxford expects a strong challenge.
