Flu Season is the Longest in a Decade

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has reported this year’s flu season as a record breaker. According to the CDC, there have been 21 weeks of elevated flu activity reported in the United States. During the 2014-2015 season, flu activity lasted for 20 weeks.

Although the rates of illness and hospitalization is currently considered to be moderately severe, today’s report shows that flu activity is starting to decline.
