Michael Easley Named Munford Head Football Coach

One of the several marquee programs in the East Alabama Community has a new coach. The Talladega County School board recently approved Michael Easley as the Lions next head coach. Easley comes over to Talladega County from Saks where he spent the last 14 seasons as an assistant (11 seasons as offensive coordinator). This is Easley’s first head coaching job and he says the vision and the potential of the program made for a great situation.

The Wildcat offense rose to new heights under Easley. Saks scored more than 470 points in five of the last six seasons. The 2013 unit set a school record with 595 points in 14 games (averaging 42.5 points per game). Easley will initially still call plays at Munford; but as he makes the shift to head coach, he says he will rely on the great experiences from previous successes.
