Gadsden Man Arrested for Electronic Solicitation of a Child


A Gadsden man is now facing felony charges for attempting to offer a teenager money in exchange for sexual acts. WEIS Radio reports that 31-year-old Byron Bresett recently sent messages to a 14-year-old girl through a mobile communication app. Law enforcement Officials were immediately notified of the messages.

Investigators and officers with the Boaz Police Department staged a meeting in order to catch and arrest Bresett over the weekend. After a brief foot chase, Bresett was quickly captured and charged with Electronic Solicitation of a Child. He is being held on $250,000 bond.
