Drug Trafficking Arrests in Gadsden
In a separate case, Misty Richardson and Kendrick Lee of Gadsden are being held in the Etowah County Jail without bond after running from Drug Enforcement Agents. Agents believed they witnessed Richardson and Lee make several drug transactions between other vehicles. As agents attempted to stop the pair, a brief car chase began before the suspects took off on foot. Lee and Richard were arrested on East Meighan Boulevard.
55 grams of methamphetamine and 9 grams of spice were found after deputies searched the area where suspected drugs were thrown out of the car driven by the pair. Richardson has been charged with two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Drug Trafficking, and more.
Lee has been charged with one count of Drug Trafficking and Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance. As the investigation continues, both could face additional state and federal charges.
