SBA Offering Disaster Assistance to Local Counties
The US Small Business Administration is still offering assistance through its disaster assistance and loan program to victims affected by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding from February 19th through March 20th. The areas covered by this declaration include Cherokee, Calhoun, Etowah, and Cleburne Counties.
There are several types of loans available that include Business and Economic loans up to $2 million, and Home disaster loans up to $200,000. With these loans, applicants have up to a maximum of 30 years to pay it back. The SBA’s temporary location is on 725 Cedar Bluff Road at the Cherokee County Rescue Service. This location will close on May 23rd, however, the final day to apply for a physical damage loan is July 6th of this year.
February 7th 2020 will be the final day to apply for an Economic loan. To download applications and for more information, visit disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
