More than 1,200 Canine teams from all over the country will be in Calhoun County this weekend to participate in the sixth annual US Canine Biathlon hosted by Vapor Wake K-9. Vapor Wake Canine is a training facility in Anniston that sits on more than 300 acres. The obstacle course is 4 miles long that is only made for those who love a challenge and enjoys racing with their canine.
President Paul Hammond says each year, the biathlon doubles in size. Hammond invites the community to come out to cheer on the canine teams, support local vendors, and more. The US Canine Biathlon festivities will begin Saturday morning and end on mid-day Sunday.
