Armed Forces Day at Fort McClellan Training Center


The East Alabama community has been invited to help honor American Heroes during Armed Forces Day at Fort McClellan Training Center. During this single day celebration, Veterans, Active Duty, Reservist, and Guardsmen from all military branches will be honored.

There will be dozens of local vendors, entertainment, and refreshments. Lieutenant Colonel Eric Shorter says Armed Forces Day is a day of fun for the entire family. Lieutenant Colonel Shorter tells TV24 why he enjoys being a part of this event here in Alabama. Participants will enter through the Galloway Gates beginning at 8:30am The Anniston Fire Department will have a ladder extended displaying the American Flag. Parking is available along with shuttle buses to help people get to and from the celebration. Armed Forces Day Celebration will begin at 9am until 2pm on Saturday.
