JSU Baseball Departs For NCAA Regional

For the first time in five seasons, the Jacksonville State baseball team hit the road for the NCAA Regional Tournament. The 2019 Gamecocks will all be new to the environment of the field of 64. JSU is the No. 4 seed in the Oxford, MS regional and will face top-seed and regional host Ole Miss on Friday night.

The team has a young core but key veterans have played a major role including senior Nic Gaddis and OVC Pitcher of the Year Garrett Farmer. JSU comes in with a lot of confidence after winning the conference title. The tournament championship is apart of a 12 game winning streak - the second longest in the nation. Head coach Jim Case believes the team can play even better.
