Sprint & T-Mobile Merger Facing Lawsuits
Lawsuits from several states were recently filed to stop the $26 billion merger between Sprint and T-Mobile. The lawsuits claim that the world’s third and fourth largest wireless companies merging violates antitrust laws, kills jobs, and would drive up mobile service prices.
Sprint and T-Mobile agreed last month that the merger would benefit consumers, but since the announcement of the lawsuits, both companies’ stocks have fallen.
