A Centre native who served as Special Deputy to the state Attorney General has been confirmed to serve on the federal bench. Corey Maze received his confirmation vote today by the U.S. Senate to serve as a District Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Maze was nominated for the federal judgeship by President Donald Trump.
Attorney General Steve Marshall says Maze is abundantly qualified to serve on the federal bench, and he was pleased to support the nomination. Maze is the second employee of the Attorney General’s Office to be confirmed to the federal bench this year.
