Students Complete Emergency Medical Responder Training in Cherokee County

Weeks of hard work and dedication have finally paid off for a group of first responders in Cherokee County. The group of 15 students from various agencies across Cherokee County completed the Emergency Medical Responder training Thursday night.

Among other things, the training included bleeding control, bandage and splinting, oxygen administration, and patient assessment. Floyd EMS gave those who completed the course “jump kits,” which include basic first aid items and assessment equipment.
