Georgia Experiences Hepatitis A Outbreak

The Georgia Department of Public Health says the state is experiencing a Hepatitis A Outbreak. The health department has 316 confirmed cases of Hepatitis A this year. In Alabama, Cherokee County confirmed one case of the illness back in May.


Hepatitis A is a liver infection that is spread like many viruses. Symptoms of Hepatitis A include fever, headache, fatigue, poor appetite, and stomach pain.
