Suspect Wanted in Attempted Murder Case in Cherokee County


The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office needs your help locating a suspect involved in a shooting that took place earlier this week. According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, 54-year-old Michael Gilreath of Rome, Georgia, is wanted for his involvement in a shooting that took place at a home in the Kirk’s Grove Community Monday night.

As a result of the shooting, a man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is in stable condition at a local hospital. Two of the three suspects were taken into custody Tuesday and charged with Attempted Murder. Gilreath is still wanted for the crime of Attempted Murder.
