Attorney Gen. Jeff Sessions Has Not Ruled out Running for Senate Seat
According to WEIS Radio, Senator Richard Shelby says that former U.S. Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, has not ruled out running for his old Senate seat next year. Shelby believes that Sessions would be a good candidate after previously holding his Senate seat for 20 years.
The former Attorney General resigned from Senate in 2017 to serve in President Donald Trump’s cabinet before resigning as Attorney General at President Trump’s request.
Sessions declined to comment on questions about his future plans.
