Freshmen Orientation Kickoff at JSU

Incoming college freshmen spent the day getting their college careers off to a great start at a local university. First-year students who are attending JSU this fall received a warm welcome from the friendliest campus in the south today during their Gamecock Orientation. Students were introduced to current undergraduate students, their academic advisors, and GO Leaders.

During orientation, GO Leaders were able to share experiences from their first years at JSU from an academic and personal perspective. Incoming freshmen were paired off into smaller groups to help them begin forming new relationships with other freshman. JSU’s first and second year experience coordinator explains why this year’s orientation program is so special.

Incoming freshmen say they are happy and excited to have chosen JSU. After today’s Gamecock Orientation Kickoff, JSU has five more to plan before the fall semester begins on August 22nd.
