The Emergency Management Agency of Calhoun County is partnering with Jacksonville State’s Department of Emergency Management to determine what methods people use to receive emergency information and notifications. According to Calhoun County EMA Director Michael Barton, it is important for the agency to fully understand methods of notification residents rely on in order to ensure you receive important and urgent safety messages. This research project will help Calhoun County EMA better communicate with the public during times of severe weather and emergencies.
