County Fair Purchases More Land

During today’s Calhoun County Commission meeting, members discussed the new 18-acre purchase made by the county fair in the amount of $76,000.

The county already has 90 acres of land that sits directly across from the newly-purchased land on Highway 109 at the intersection of Bynum Leatherwood Road and Old Gadsden Highway. With the county fair expanding, Commissioner J.D. Hess says this is a win for Calhoun County. He adds that the County Fair hopes to have the expansion completed by this fall.
