Anniston City Councilman Discusses Concerns

Wednesday, July 3, 2019

A member of the Anniston City Council held a press conference earlier today to discuss his concerns with other council members in addition to fundamental needs within the city. Councilman Ben Little held a press conference to address his concerns with the city manager search, the new federal courthouse, and more. Steven Folks is currently serving as interim City Manager after Jay Johnson’s resignation, and Councilman Little says there needs to be a search for a permanent replacement.

Little believes that there are many Anniston residents who are qualified for the position of city manager who should have an opportunity to apply. Councilman Little also believes that the current federal courthouse that will be given to the city may bring more harm than good.

Little says his only focus is to improve the quality of life for the residents of west and south Anniston and doing that will improve the city as a whole.
