Ford Recalls 58,000 Focus Models for Fuel Tank Issues
An American multinational automaker has issued another recall for several vehicles due to possible fuel tank issues. Ford is recalling some 2012 through 2017 Focus models and 2013-2014 Focus ST models because of the powertrain not working properly, which could deform the fuel tank. The automaker says drivers experiencing this issue could see a malfunction indicator light, erratic fuel gauge indication, loss of motive power, or other warnings.
There have not been any reports of accidents or injuries related to this issue. For reports that this issue is connected to another recall from October, when nearly 1.5 million Focus cars were recalled for the same issue.
Some cars were improperly serviced for the previous recall, which is why the company is issuing another one. If your vehicle has been affected, you are urged to take your vehicle to a Ford dealership for repair.
