New Director of AL Board of Pardons and Paroles
Governor Kay Ivey has named former attorney general Charles Graddick as the new director of the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles to replace former director Eddie Cook. This decision comes under a new law that gives Ivey the authority to appoint the director, and she says Graddick has dedicated his life to serving the people of Alabama and protecting the law.
Graddick served two-terms as the state's attorney general before becoming a circuit judge in Mobile County. He will take the position on September 1st.
