90 New Jobs Coming to Gadsden with New Automotive Supplier

Right now, big news about a major economic investment for east Alabama. Governor Kay Ivey’s office has announced plans for a major automotive supplier to open a manufacturing plant in Gadsden, creating nearly 100 new jobs. Motus Integrated Technologies plans to build the new plant. The company today announced plans to invest $15 million to build the facility in the area of Gadsden’s Airport Industrial Park. We spoke with Brent Turner, who is the Engineering Manager for Motus, and he said that they chose Gadsden after an extensive search across the southeast.

The anticipated wage for workers at this plant is more than $20 per hour. Construction will begin in the next couple of weeks and should be completed by the middle of next year.
