A new project has come to the City of Sylacauga that is expected to bring hundreds of new jobs to the area. A new 60,000 square foot speculative building is being developed with help from the Sylacauga Industrial Development Board, Alabama Power Speculative Building Program, and others.
The project is being estimated at more than 1.3 million dollars and will be built in the SB Pinkerton Industrial Park. Dalbert Marsh, President of the Sylacauga IDB explains why the spec building will give a company reason to consider locating its business into the city. Mash also says that many companies looking to establish operation in an area look for a facility that is close-to-ready for occupation and Sylacauga is looking to bring new, good paying jobs to the city.
The Sylacauga project is the 29th spec building for Alabama Power Speculative Building Program. More than 1,500 jobs have been created with projects that have located in the spec buildings.
