Sardis High School Students Win Financial Fitness Tournament in Florida
Students from a local high school crown themselves champions of the League of Southeastern Credit Union’s Financial Fitness Tournament for a third year in a row. Students from Sardis High School recently traveled to Orlando, Florida to participate in a tournament that promotes student’s interest and knowledge in personal finance, economics and consumer affairs.
Kloe McCurley, Alia Smith-Main, and Daniel Rich were chosen to represent Sardis High based on their skills displayed in a financial literacy program through Family Savings Credit Union. The students were coached by Family Savings Marketing and Communications Coordinator Jessica Brown and Business Teacher, Natalie Strickland. Students also used a 1,000 question study guide provided by the League to help prepare them for the competition. Strickland says she’s the students wouldn’t be where they are today without a lot of hard work.
The students were honored by staff, family and friends at Sardis High School for all their hard work and dedication to bring home another win for their community.
