The countdown to the high school football season sits at exactly three weeks (21 days). Area team previews continued with Donoho on Thursday. The Falcons turned a 2-8 record in 2017 to 8-2 last season. They finished second in the region behind Spring Garden in Class 1A Region 5. The offense averaged 34.2 points per game and dropped 40+ points in seven games. Meanwhile the defense held opponents to less than ten points five times. The Falcons returned to the playoffs for the first time in four seasons where they fell to eventual state champion Mars Hill. Third-year head coach Mark Sanders says his team has learned the lessons of success and they are eager to add to it in 2019.
