39th Annual Woodstock 5K

Saturday, August 3, 2019

Despite the chances of early morning showers that are expected to appear Saturday, more than 1,300 runners are still planning to lace up their shoes for the City of Anniston’s historic 5k run. The 39th Annual Woodstock 5K run is an event that has gained much attention over the years by attracting out-of-state runners and vendors. Kids can sign up to complete the Kidstock 1 mile to make this a healthy family-fun event.

The Woodstock 5K will start and finish on Woodstock Avenue in front of Anniston High School. A prize of $300 will be given to the runner with the fastest overall time. The race will also serve as the Road Runners of America of Alabama’s State Championship, which is known as the largest distance running organization in the country. Medals will also be given to the top three finishers, male and female, in each age category. The race will begin at 7:30am.
