Cherokee County EMA Releases App

Friday, August 9, 2019

The Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency has released a new app designed to help prepare and inform people during emergencies. According to EMA Director Shawn Rogers, the app is equipped with several features including national weather service alerts, shelter information, school closings, and county contacts.

The app is free to download on any mobile device by searching “Cherokee County EMA.” Although emergency management can not always predict when an emergency or natural disaster will occur, it’s important for residents to always be prepared.
