Anniston Museum of Natural History Welcomes 'Battling Extinction' Exhibit

Although animal extinction is a natural process, experts say that there is a dramatic drop in species all over the world. A local museum has just opened a new exhibit that will bring visitors face-to-face with some of the most endangered species on the planet.

The ‘Battling Extinction’ Exhibit at the Anniston Museum of Natural History is on temporary display for people to see the different types of endangered plants, animals, insects, and corals. Education Director, Sarah Burke says the purpose of the exhibit is to enhance public knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of living things and their environments.

Burke also say that a lot of items on display have never been seen before. The exhibit will be open during regular business hours. For more information, visit the Anniston Museum of Natural History’s website.
