A newly renovated building is now the home to a new transportation hub that will provide services to all Gadsden residents. The Alabama City Center sits across the street from the Gadsden-Etowah County Boys and Girls Club.
Once known as the General Forrest Middle School, the new transportation center will be the starting point for the Trolley and “Dial-A-Ride-Transportation” Services while also offering space for an increase in police presence for West Gadsden and other neighborhoods.
Regular trolley far is $.50 per trip and the trolley fare for disabled residents or people over the age of 60 is $.25 per trip. Gadsden Mayor Sherman Guyton says this is just another investment to help the residents within the community.
